Mumbai : Mumbai
erupted in excitement and energy as over 3,000 enthusiastic participants
gathered at the picturesque Gorai Jetty for the highly anticipated inaugural Water
Kingdom Marathon 2025 on Sunday morning. With the city still at rest, the
atmosphere was electric as families, seasoned athletes, and fitness enthusiasts
of all ages united for the first marathon of the year. The event, featuring 3KM,
5KM, and 10KM race categories, became a vibrant celebration of fitness,
marking a spectacular start to 2025 for all involved.
The
marathon quickly transformed into a vibrant festival of health and wellness.
Prior to the flag-off, an energetic pre-race warm-up session, led by a DJ and
Emcee, infused the crowd with energy, setting the tone for the day. The
official race flag-off was conducted by Paresh Mishra, CEO of Water Kingdom,
and Flight Lieutenant Anand Lamdhade, Senior Vice President of Operations at
Water Kingdom, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to promoting a
culture of health and fitness across Mumbai.
As
participants embarked on their respective race routes, the atmosphere was
charged with enthusiasm. Families, community groups, and cheering spectators
added to the uplifting spirit, creating an inspiring environment for the
runners. The event also offered a meaningful opportunity for participants to
fulfill their New Year’s fitness resolutions, adding a layer of personal
achievement to the experience.
The winners
of each category were celebrated on stage, with their accomplishments
acknowledged through well-earned prizes, including cash awards and exciting
experiences. Top finishers in the 10KM, 5KM, and 3KM categories
received entry tickets to Water Kingdom Water Park, EsselWorld Bird Park, and
the Tic Tac Toe toddler play area, adding extra enjoyment to their victory.
After the race, participants were treated to snacks, medals, and certificates,
reflecting on their sense of pride and achievement.

Vishwakar (2nd Runner Up), Rohit Sanga (3rd Runner Up), Saif Shaikh (4th

- 3KM: Aman Raj (Winner), Anurag Chaurasiya (1st Runner Up), Anish Nishad
(2nd Runner Up), Manish Pandey (3rd Runner Up), Ashish Kumar Rajbhar (4th
Runner Up)
The event
was not just a race, but a powerful celebration of community, fitness, and the
collective will to lead a healthier life. From the youngest participant at just
3 years old to the oldest runner at 85, the event demonstrated that fitness
knows no age limit. The marathon is a precursor to a larger movement promoting
a healthier, more active lifestyle in Mumbai.
